* Amber Neely awarded 2006 Dodge Ram Mega Cab TM grand prize; six runners-up receive special “Musical Chairs” prize packages
* Celebration of classic game includes $6,000 donation to Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago from DaimlerChrysler Corporation Fund
Chicago, Feb 10, 2006 –
The Dodge brand opened the 2006 Chicago Auto Show with a fanny-tastic sporting event with contestants competing in the Dodge Ram Mega Musical Chairs challenge for a chance to win the grand prize, a new 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT Mega Cab TM 4X4 with seating for six and the biggest cab on the market. Amber Neely from Chicago was named the Grand Prize Winner when she was the last person to snag the driver’s seat of the Dodge Ram Mega Cab after more than two hours of playing the Dodge Ram Mega Musical Chairs game.

“I played musical chairs in grade school, but never thought my skills would be called upon inside the cab of a pickup truck,” said Neely. “It was a blast scooting through the rows of seats to claim the driver’s seat, but even better to claim the Dodge Ram Mega Cab itself!”
Neely was chosen at random to compete in the Dodge Ram Mega Musical Chairs challenge from among more than 6,200 people from around the country who entered the contest online. She was one of seven contestants to make it to the final round inside the Dodge Ram Mega Cab, where she had to climb in and out of each row of seats as the music played. Each time the music stopped, the person without a seat was out and an additional seat position was eliminated until only the driver’s seat remained.
Neely landed in the driver’s seat when the music stopped to win the Mega Musical Chairs challenge and a new 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT Mega Cab 4X4 with a 5.7 liter HEMI® engine and the biggest cab on the market. The second place contestant, David Laures from Racine, Wis., took home $750 in cash and a musical chairs prize package consisting of an iPod Nano and a set of Dodge tailgating chairs; five other runners-up also received an iPod Nano and the Dodge tailgating chairs.
The five runners-up are: Gregory Ford of Orion, Ill; Otto Valencia of Chicago; Timothy Bolly of Monroe, Wis.; Michael Morris, of Channahon, Ill.; and Bobby Sullivan of Schereville, Ind.
“The Dodge Ram Mega Cab stands out in the market with the largest pickup cab ever and innovative seating and storage configurations,” said Jason Vines, Vice President – Communications, Chrysler Group. “The Ram Mega Cab is the only vehicle in its class to comfortably seat six adults and Dodge Ram Mega Musical Chairs is an extreme way for consumers to experience the vehicle’s versatility first-hand.”
Before the official competition began, teen members of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago reminded adults how the classic musical chairs game is played by demonstrating the rules of play. And, in celebration of the Dodge Ram Mega Musical Chairs challenge and games for all ages, the DaimlerChrysler Corporation Fund donated $6,000 — or $1,000 for each seat in the Dodge Ram Mega Cab — to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago.
“We are thrilled to receive this gift from DaimlerChrysler,” said Erin Doyle, Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago. “It will help Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago expand our core education programs that serve 18,000 young people annually.”
