Steven J. Landry Named President and Chief Executive Officer, DaimlerChrysler Canada
Auburn Hills, Mich., Oct 25, 2005 –
Effective November 1, Steven J. Landry is appointed President and Chief Executive Officer – DaimlerChrysler Canada, Inc., reporting to Joe Eberhardt, Chrysler Group Executive Vice President, Global Sales, Marketing and Service. In this position, Landry is responsible for all Chrysler Group sales and marketing activities in Canada.
“With 23 years of service in multiple areas of the company, Steven brings a wealth of sales and marketing experience to this position,” said Eberhardt. “Having grown up in the organization, he has earned the respect of colleagues, dealers and business leaders and is well positioned to lead our efforts in the competitive Canadian market.”
Since joining the Company in 1982 as a Distribution Analyst in the Western Region of Chrysler Canada, Ltd., Landry has held increasingly responsible positions in the U.S., European and Canadian Sales and Marketing organizations. He most recently served as the Vice President – Global Dodge Marketing in Auburn Hills, Michigan.
Landry holds a bachelor’s degree from St. Mary’s University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and an M.B.A. through Michigan State University’s Advanced Management Program.
Born December 29, 1958, in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, he and his wife Marcelle currently live in Oakland County, Michigan.
Landry succeeds Mark Norman who has announced his intention to leave the Company.
